Becoming Web Integrated – More Than Just a Website

Blog kick-off

Welcome to my 3G Wireless blog site where I share, discuss and debate ideas and issues surrounding the Mobile Wireless industry. I chose this topic because I have been working in the industry since 2001 and have seen it evolve significantly in that time. And, I believe that pace of evolution is quickening. There are very few industries as exciting and dynamic as this one.

 

I have recently transitioned from a role in a small company where I led the efforts to create and introduce new wireless applications, to my new role as an independent consultant, working across many companies.

 

I plan to seed discussions on several topics, such as the following:

• The “Walled Garden” – identifying some of the key bricks in that wall
• Open Access, Net Neutrality, etc, and the implications for Wireless
• Wireless Application Programming interfaces
• What’s a Strategy and why would I want one?
• The dynamics in the Wireless value chain

 

I very much welcome comments, especially constructive ones that elicit ongoing discussion and debate.
